Malaysia Open Science Platform (MOSP)

A growing movement known as “open science” aims to make scientific data and research available to everyone.
Democratizing knowledge, upholding honesty and inquiry, facilitating improved research administration, and encouraging
data-intensive research are all made possible by the global idea of making research data findable, accessible, interoperable,
and reusable (FAIR). It will support data-intensive research, improve research administration, and fortify open scientific
inquiry and integrity.
Acknowledging the significance of capitalizing on the potential benefits of Open Science, the Academy of Sciences Malaysia
(ASM) and the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change (MESTECC) collaborated through
the Malaysia Open Science Alliance to establish the Malaysia Open Science Platform (MOSP), a transformative initiative
aimed strategically strengthening the STI Collaborative Ecosystem for Malaysia. By creating a reliable platform that facilitates
the accessibility and sharing research data in line with national priorities and global best practices, this program seeks to
establish Malaysia’s research data as a significant national asset.
