Turnitin is a web-based plagiarism detection and prevention system. It teaches students how to work with sources and raises awareness of paraphrasing and quoting techniques in order to avoid plagiarism.
For the registration, please use your official UTHM/Siswa email. PTTA have the right to delete the unofficial emails from the class. For more information please refer to the guide.
Please note that any deletion of Paper/Class that you do in your own account will not remove your paper from Turnitin archive. (except for “No Repository” setting).
If you have deleted the paper/class and want to recovered back to get the submission ID/Paper ID, please sent an email to ptta@uthm.edu.my.
For student, please provide your class ID and your supervisor name.

Keahlian luar membuka ruang kepada masyarakat luar kampus memanfaatkan sumber maklumat, perkhidmatan dan kemudahan yang disediakan oleh Perpustakaan Tunku Tun Aminah.
TERMA & SYARAT
Pendaftaran & Tempoh Keahlian
Setiap permohonan pendaftaran hendaklah mengemukakan salinan kad pengenalan dan dokumen sokongan
Pendaftaran boleh di buat secara walk-in, pos, fax atau emel borang permohonan.
Tempoh keahlian luar PTTA ialah selama setahun (12 bulan) dari tarikh pendaftaran keahlian.
Pembaharuan keahlian boleh dibuat melalui telefon atau e-mel satu (1) bulan sebelum tamat tempoh.
Kaedah pembayaran yuran dan pinjaman adalah melalui QR Pay, FPX dan E-Debit.
Peminjaman
Hanya bahan di dalam koleksi rujukan terbuka sahaja yang boleh dipinjam.
Keahlian Korporat layak untuk menggunakan perkhidmatan penghantaran dokumen terhad kepada 10 artikel sahaja. RM10 bayaran tambahan untuk dokumen seterusnya.
Yuran peminjaman adalah mengikut kategori keahlian.
Notis peringatan untuk pemulangan buku akan dihantar melalui e-mel dan telefon.
Akses Pangkalan Data
Akses kepada pangkalan data hanya dibenarkan di dalam premis perpustakaan sahaja.
Dendaan
Denda lewat pemulangan buku adalah sebanyak RM0.20 sehari
Bayaran bagi menggantikan kad yang hilang ialah RM15.00.
Bahan yang hilang atau rosak harus dibayar mengikut kos penggantian bahan.

Research Literacy Undergraduate Projects (PSM) Class
PTTA assist users focus to the undergraduates student to increase their skills in using the library through the Research Literacy Undergraduate Projects (PSM) Class.
The classes are conducted both theoretically and practically which covers all basic topic s in the Literacy Class and special topics on online resources searching technique.
Postgraduate Research Methodology Class
PTTA provides an advanced class especially for the postgraduates student to increase their skills in using the library services and facilities.
The classes are conducted both theoretically and practically which covers more on the research requirement and seeking for the right publications.
Turnitin
We provide a special class on turnitin which it covers on how to use turnitin in order to identify instances of plagiarism and similarity in submitted documents. It helps educators ensure the originality of students' work and maintain academic integrity.
Research Training
Research training is a training conduct by particular publisher. Training will be conduct in either online or hands on based on the topics that related with the research activities.
Users who are looking for information resources for teaching and research are advised to consult the librarian at the Reference Desk (Level 1) to get guidance on the searching techniques.
The librarian will assist to identify the actual needs before suggesting relevant resources.
Reference service is opened to all users during library operation hours.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
This service allows users to borrow reference resources that are unavailable at UTHM Library but can be obtained from other academic libraries in Malaysia and British Library.
This service is free of charge. Apart from books and standards, users can also obtain journal articles and conference proceedings.
The length of the borrowing period is subject to the rules imposed by the supplying library.
Users can fill in an application form available at the Reference Desk and Circulation Counter (Level 1).
Users will be informed about the status of the application through e-mail:pspp@uthm.edu.my or telephone.

Faculty Liaison Officers (FLO)
Faculty Liaison Officer (FLO) Librarians help to facilitate the use of information in support of teaching, learning and research of the faculties concerned.
Each faculty in UTHM has a librarian linked to it who represents the library in day-to-day relations with the said parties regarding the resources and services. They will work with the faculty in developing the library’s teaching stock, liaising with academic staff to determine the resource needs of new and existing courses and ensuring that recommended reading is available in the library for the purpose of to strengthen the relationship as well as to build an effective communication for both sides.
FLO also support in research activitities. They will be ready to offer bibliographical assistance and also help in the process of registration of publication and verification.
Acquisition of Reference Materials
Academic staff may suggest new titles of reference materials, either in printed or digital format, for library collection.
Suggestions can be made either through the book exhibition or publisher’s catalog.
The proposed title must be related to the courses or academic programs offered by the university, as well as support teaching and research activities.
The acquisition of reference materials is subject to the approval of the relevant authorities and compliance with financial rules.
Submission of Seminar Materials
Seminar Materials
PTTA provides various reference resources which includes papers presented at seminars, conferences, conventions, symposiums, workshops or colloquiums either organized by UTHM or other organizations.
Seminar materials are an important but elusive source of scientific and technical information.
These materials are categorized as UTHM Special Collections and should be submitted to the Digital Collections Development Division.
Publication Verification
PTTA responsible to verify the record that has been entered into the university publication systems (SMPU) especially by the academic staff.
The records consist of article journal, conference paper, chapter in book, monograph, policy paper and general publication.
The verification process is performed to confirm that the publication is indexed by Scopus or other databases.
It is also to verify the rankings and impact factors of the publication in Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
The records must meet the criteria set by Myra and MyMohes.
Publication Incentive Claims
Type of Eligible Publication - WOS indexed journals with impact factor values in Q1, Q2, Q3 & Q4 categories (SCIE/SSCI). Please refer to the JCR website - SCOPUS indexed journals. - MyCite indexed journals.
New Rates of Incentive (for journal articles published from January 1, 2023)
i. UTHM academic staff ii. Corresponding author; or iii. First author of UTHM if the article is a collaboration with a university or industry
How to Apply for Incentive i. The application for publication incentive is made through SMPU ii. A record of articles that have been activated and eligible, will be dispalyed in the "Permohonan Imbuhan" menu iii. Click the "MOHON" button
*the incentive request must be submitted within 3 months of the article's publication in the journal *The approval of the application is subject to the conditions imposed and the adequacy of University's financial resources
Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI)
This service consists of the latest printed journal content page and new arrivals listing dissemination.
The latest printed journal contents page is particularly for academic staff in which the content pages will be composed directly to the inbox of respective requesters email.
Whereas the new arrivals listing is provided to give alert or current awareness to the users by compiling and publishing the listing of new materials received.
This listing is arranged by subjects and distributed to both students and staff.
